After nearly a century standing proudly in the heart of West Hollywood, the breathtaking El Mirador Apartments reopens its doors—reborn, refined, and ready to welcome a new generation of residents.
Following more than a decade of meticulous and sensitive restoration, this architectural jewel, an exemplar of Churrigueresque Spanish Colonial Revival design has been returned to its original splendor, originally built by renowned theater Architect, S. Charles Lee c. 1929.
Original floorboards were gently lifted, revarnished, and placed back with reverence. Decades-old paint and primer were patiently peeled away from hand-carved archways to reveal the craftsmanship beneath. Custom-imported rugs now line the grand corridors, while every salvageable element of the building’s storied past has been preserved, fought for, and in some cases with an unrelenting commitment to authenticity.
